Tagaytay Puzzle Mansion, the world’s largest jigsaw puzzle collection

A woman’s love for jigsaw puzzles has given birth to a bed and breakfast inn, the newest tourist attraction in breezy Tagaytay City.

The Tagaytay Puzzle Mansion is a 11-room bed and breakfast facility houses the world’s largest jigsaw puzzle collection owned by Gina Gil Lacuna, a retired businesswoman. It is home to the museum where you can find the record-breaking puzzle collection of Gina Gil Lacuna. It is located in the Lacuna family's one hectare summer house in Tagaytay. She beat the reigning Brazilian Luiza Figueiredo in the Guinness World Records for having the Largest Collection of Jigsaw Puzzles in the World.

This is the only puzzle museum in the world and currently holding the Guinness Book Of World Records for the largest collection of puzzles, it's a must visit for puzzle fanatics. The best time to visit is when Gina herself is in the museum to personally give the tour. She loves having kids as her audience because she wants to inspire them to believe that more and more Filipinos can be Guinness World Record Holders.

Madam Gina's enthusiasm about puzzles is very enticing and endearing as well, it almost makes you want to finish an entire complicated puzzle by yourself too. During the tour, you can try to make solve puzzle. I can't imagine that completing a puzzle with that many pieces is highly therapeutic and fulfilling too!

Ambiance of the museum plaza can instantly provide visual interest for guests. Each passage and wall was filled with hanged frames of finished puzzles in different sizes and forms. I didn’t know that jigsaw puzzles can take shape not only in the regular flat surface but also in 3D and 4D!

The Tagaytay Puzzle Mansion has a total of 1,028 puzzles in different sizes, colors, themes and dimensions (she also has 3D and 4D puzzles) on display at the Puzzle Mansion, which is located on Cuadra Street in Barangay Asisan in Tagaytay City. Several others are left unfinished, with a handful of them available for sale.

The Puzzle Mansion can be easily found when you’re armed with a map for direction and when your eyes are good enough to follow and track about 10 stand posts with signages left and right guiding the way there. The Puzzle Mansion also offers free shuttle service to fetch guests from the main road of Tagaytay. The Tagaytay Puzzle Mansion is located on the opposite fork going to Antonio's. Free entrance to the bed and breakfast but you have to pay P100 to enter the museum which includes a guide and lecture.
